there is a minor typo, in the inductive step. &quot;The first term is equal to ...&quot; should evaluate the derivative at 0, not t, and the integral just above this line should have dx, not dt.

I hope you keep up this series of exam questions - it&#039;s extremely insightful, though I&#039;m a little surprised at how much energy is devoted to second guessing the examiner&#039;s intentions.

However, I&#039;d like bring to your attention the fact that the math formulas (images of a rather poor quality, if I may say so) are almost unreadable when printed on paper. I&#039;m not sure if you are aware of this (or if you care about it), but I thought I&#039;d mention it just in case.

I&#039;m not very technical and I&#039;m sorry that I cannot provide you with a solution or be of any help otherwise. Perhaps the people at Wordpress can help you.
